Agnes, and her sister Wilson, were found at a day old after their mom was killed. Aggie is friendlier towards women, and she likes getting butt scratches from Melissa in the mornings. See ‘Our Animals’ page to learn more about her!

Dima is Laika’s littermate and is almost a mirror image of her in looks and personality. He is one of the loudest of the male foxes and the hardest worker in training sessions. He excels in nosework with a drive that would make a Belgian Malinois jealous.

Laika is part of the “Sweet Girls” (Lena, Laika, and Sasha). She is a littermate of Dima and can be distinguished from him by the little bit of white on her front paw vs Dima’s full white sock. She is small but mighty and the most vocal of all the foxes.

Lucan has been known to be a bit of a dork and routinely finds himself trying to sit on guests’ laps, rolling upside down at their feet, and just being a complete goofball. When he is involved in a photoshoot, he usually spends most of the time trying to lick the face of the human in the photoshoot with him. We try to make him look majestic, but sometimes, it just isn’t possible.

One of our original 3 foxes, this girl is confident, kind, wildly clever, and strikingly beautiful—the complete package!

In the middle of 2020, we were informed by a researcher we work with that she had fallen in love with a tiny kit fox at the ICG. This started the “Panda and Her Pals” project, because beyond the usual hurdles of permits, transport, and customs, JABCECC faced the new challenge of COVID travel restrictions.

Sakari (meaning “sweet” in Inuit) is a senior lady who previously lived a horrible life on a fur farm. Sakari is a “normal” arctic fox in that, unlike Freddy, she does change colors in the summer.

Sweet Stumpy Doo is all “love and butterflies”. He was born #2 of the same conservation litter as his brother Nicky Rambo, and as a kind soul, he often looks concerned about his big brother’s antics. He’s less choosy than Nicky and will happy give lots of love, both in encounters and at our events.

Due to the stress and conditions of growing up in the fur farm environment, Vinnie has only 1 ear and no tail. Sadly, this is not uncommon for fur farm foxes, which is why our mission of educating people about the fur trade is so important!

Weighing in around 17.5 pounds, Yuri is one of our largest red foxes. This “quiet giant” is well-loved by the other foxes. He is often featured on Friday’s Chat w/ Vlad for his love of Bear Claws. But don’t let that size fool you: He is still a cunning fox and is known to nab phones or hats without you noticing!

Sweet Ari is one of the Wonder 4 and is quite the little love bug. She is quite chatty! Ari has some strong feelings and is not afraid to speak her mind.

The girl with the best eyeliner ever! Ishy was bottle fed and well-socialized with humans from a very young age. Her favorite snack: Cucumbers!

She is indeed a clever fox, and possibly the smartest of the bunch. She lives life to the fullest and enjoys a good, long, undisturbed sleep after. She’s kind to the other foxes and loves meeting her adoring fans, making her JABCECC’s “it girl”!

Sweet mama Luxx was born at a zoo in Canada. To help preserve the NGSD lineage and continue our conservation and education efforts, she was bred with another NGSD and gave birth to a conservation litter of 5 healthy pups in 2017. Two of those pups (Nicky and Stumpy) stayed with us at JABCECC to help further our mission.

Of all our foxes, Mikhail is the kindest and most welcoming toward other foxes. He is like the uncle that all the kids jump on and play with.

Nicky was the firstborn of our NGSD conservation litter in 2017. Calm, cool, and confident, Nicky is an excellent ambassador for Singers. Within just a few minutes of meeting him, you’re likely to see some unique NGSD behavior, including a sassy head toss. Though Nicky gets excited to meet new people, he only likes it on his specific terms: He wants you to stand still, look straight ahead, and let him lick your face.

Sergei is Lena’s brother. He shares her stunning good looks, but he comes to the party with a “bad boy” attitude all his own.

Seen here laughing at his own joke, we often refer to this cheerful fellow as our “Silly Vasily!” Like many of our Russian domesticated foxes, Vasily enjoys training (by “training”, we mean “sitting there looking drop dead gorgeous while getting loved on”) and loves a good scratch on his rump.

He was named after Vlad the Impaler. Vladdy is our bad boy and the team learned a hard lesson: Watch what you name a fox, because he may live up to his name. He is usually at the root of all trouble!

Clara is quite shy, which is not unusual for a fur farm rescue, but she has begun to show that she trusts us.

Freddy was our first Arctic Fox rescue at JABCECC. Unlike wild arctic foxes, Freddy’s coat color does not change with the seasons. Despite living in southern California, he sports his white winter coat all year!

Libby is a very tiny girl, and she’s best friends with Ishy and Boris. She’s a spicy girl, going from loving to fighting in a millisecond!

With sass, spice, and everything nice, our little Mae is named after the famous vaudeville star, Mae West. This little leading lady is spunky, confident, and knows how to use her sharp baby teeth! She’s best friends with Clara, whose sweetness will hopefully tame down some of Mae’s spicy tendencies.

The lone male among the ladies of the Wonder 4, Nic took a while to get comfortable with us. We quickly gave him the nickname “Fabio” because of his big fluffy fur and dashing good looks!

Sasha is part of the “Sweet Girls” (Lena, Sasha and Laika). She is Vasily’s littermate and shares his stunning good looks. She can always be found wagging her tail when anyone comes into her enclosure, even when she is sound asleep and can’t be bothered to get up.

Part of the Wonder 4, Shasta came to us a bit shy at first, but she is warming up to become the sweetheart of the bunch.

The fox so famous, he has been in a movie and has his own pub crawl! Along with Maksa and Mikhail, he was one of the first 3 foxes to join our center.

Wilson, and her sister Agnes, were found at a day old after their mom was killed. Willie, is friendlier towards men, and all she wants is for Dave to bring her chicken all day long. See ‘Our Animals’ page to learn more about her!
