In Memoriam - The Fabulous Chile

Mischievous as a fox, fiercely loyal like a wolf, with the intelligence of a coyote, and the vocal range of a New Guinea Singing dog, the Fabulous Chile embodied many characteristics of the wild canid cousins to our beloved domesticated dogs.  For 19.5 years Chile was an ambassador for her breed and her species. She taught people all around the world about humane training methods and brought awareness and hope to dogs and their guardians facing challenges like separation anxiety. The ambassadors of JABCECC also help educate the public and counter misconceptions regarding wild canids.  That’s why we chose to work with them to create a memorial fund in Chile’s honor to help care for the animals and support the amazing work they do.

JABCECC is an almost entirely volunteer-based organization, so all donations go directly to caring for the animals and maintaining their facility.  Another project we’re working towards supporting is their Healing Path where they’ll be creating a space to celebrate the bond we share with our canid companions and cherish the lasting impact they’ve made on our lives.
